Welcome to the Discovery Elementary Media Center!

We’re excited to help our students grow as readers and learners! Please take a moment to review our media center policies and check-out procedures:

✅ Book Check-Out Guidelines:

• Primary Students (Grades K–2):
  May check out one book at a time after learning the media center rules.

• Intermediate Students (Grades 3–5):
  May check out two books at a time.
• Loan Period:
  Books may be borrowed for one week.
  If more time is needed for intermediate students, books may be renewed for one additional week — but students must bring the book with them to renew it.

 

❗Overdue, Lost, or Damaged Books:

• No fines are charged for overdue books.
• Students cannot check out additional books until overdue books are returned.
• If a book is lost or damaged, the student is responsible for the current replacement cost.

 

📖 Book Care Reminders:

• Keep books clean and dry.
• Store books away from pets and small children.
• Use a bookmark to protect pages and avoid folding corners.

 

Families can help by encouraging students to take care of their books and return them on time. Thank you for supporting your child’s reading journey!
